TLDR Review: Hisense 85" QLED 4K S7N TV (2025)
Verdict
If you're looking for a massive, 85-inch canvas-style 4K QLED TV that doubles as an eye-catching piece of wall art, the Hisense 85S7N CanvasTV nails the aesthetic and delivers very solid picture and sound quality with smart capabilities built right in. Its ultra-slim design and included frame make it a standout choice for style-conscious buyers who want a sleek, gallery-worthy display with easy access to streaming and smart home features. However, if you prioritize adjustable mounting or want a more traditional "TV looks like a TV" experience, or if you want lightning-fast smart TV responsiveness, you might want to explore other options. Overall, it offers great value for a premium design-forward 85" set with Dolby Vision HDR and Google Smart TV at its core.
- Top pro:
- Stunning design with a sleek frame that transforms the TV into an elegant art piece, enhancing any room's gallery feel.
- Top con:
- Art Mode, while visually beautiful, can sometimes fall short of feeling like authentic home decor and may look less convincing alongside soundbars.
Pros
- •Stunning design with a sleek frame that transforms the TV into an elegant art piece, enhancing any room's gallery feel.
- •Excellent picture quality, especially impressive in Art Mode where textures have an almost 3D appearance.
- •Wide and expanding selection of free and downloadable artwork for a customizable gallery experience.
- •Matte, anti-glare panel significantly cuts down reflections, improving viewing comfort in most lighting conditions.
- •Good built-in sound quality with Dolby audio support, often eliminating the need for extra speakers.
- •Deep Google Smart TV integration offers convenience with native streaming apps and smart home controls like live camera feeds and thermostat adjustments.
- •UltraSlim wall mount and included frame provide a clean, modern look with wire concealment for a clutter-free setup.
- •Setup and installation are fairly straightforward, with all necessary components included and manageable weight for mounting by two people.
- •The Favorites feature allows rotation of personal images/art every five minutes, offering dynamic display options without being overwhelming.
- •Overall, the design and functionality combine to provide a highly satisfying and conversation-starting ownership experience.
Cons
- •Art Mode, while visually beautiful, can sometimes fall short of feeling like authentic home decor and may look less convincing alongside soundbars.
- •The fixed wall mount offers no adjustment angle, so precise placement is essential for an optimal display.
- •Occasional slow loading times can interrupt the otherwise smooth smart TV experience.
- •Deep Google ecosystem integration might feel intrusive to users sensitive about privacy or preferring less connected devices.
- •Although the anti-glare panel is excellent, very strong direct sunlight may still require window coverings to fully prevent glare.
- •Installation, while doable without professionals, can be somewhat awkward or challenging for some users.
